2.6-km Maligaon Flyover to be open to the public from today, August 30, 2023.

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma is set to inaugurate the highly anticipated Maligaon flyover this evening. The inauguration ceremony is scheduled for 4.30 pm today, and commuters traveling from Jalukbari to Bharalu are advised to take note of the traffic advisory in place.

A day before the official unveiling, CM Sarma took to the 'X' platform to share an impressive aerial view video of the flyover. The video was accompanied by a caption that read, "Tomorrow, we will be presenting Assam's longest flyover to the citizens."

Guwahati's newest architectural masterpiece, the Maligaon flyover, will showcase an innovative design featuring a rainbow-like arch and a globe located at the Tiniali Junction.

Meanwhile, ahead of the Maligaon Flyover's grand opening, comprehensive safety measures are being put in place. These measures are aimed at ensuring the well-being of all road users, especially those who are more vulnerable, such as children, students, women, senior citizens, and individuals with disabilities.

As part of these precautions, there will be strict enforcement of traffic regulations and strategic diversions to facilitate smooth movement for emergency vehicles, including ambulances and fire trucks.
