Asomiya Yuva Mancha Demands Justice for Deceased SI Junmoni Rabha and Urges CBI Intervention

Asomiya Yuva Mancha Demands Justice for Junmoni Rabha

In a press conference held at the Dispur Press Club in Guwahati, the Asomiya Yuva Mancha made a fervent appeal for justice on behalf of the late sub-inspector (SI) Junmoni Rabha, while also raising concerns about the lack of progress in the investigation. The organization questioned the absence of a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team and pressed for immediate action.

Expressing their disappointment, the Asomiya Yuva Mancha emphasized that while the Chief Minister of Assam had visited the scene of the tragic road accident in Jalukbari and a forensic team had conducted an investigation, no attention had been paid to Junmoni Rabha's bereaved family.

Dharmakanta Gogoi, speaking on behalf of the organization, voiced concerns about the apparent negligence in Junmoni Rabha's case. He raised questions regarding the absence of any official visits to Junmoni Rabha's home, highlighting the significance of acknowledging the grieving family's plight. Gogoi further revealed that Anand Mishra, another individual associated with the case, had been discouraged from engaging with the public and media, receiving a lock as a symbolic gift.

The Asomiya Yuva Mancha demanded an explanation as to why no representative from the home department had visited Junmoni Rabha's family thus far. Additionally, they expressed disappointment at the delay in CBI intervention and called on the Chief Minister to clarify the situation. The organization also emphasized that no action had been taken against Leena Doley and Runa Neog, urging authorities to address this matter promptly.

In an effort to secure justice for Junmoni Rabha, the Asomiya Yuva Mancha announced that both the Asomiya Yuva Mancha and Mahila Yuva Mancha will organize a month-long series of protests from June 1 to June 30. The demonstrations aim to draw attention to the case and put pressure on the authorities to ensure a fair and thorough investigation.
