The Board of Secondary Education Assam (SEBA) has declared the results of the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) examination. The state has recorded a total pass percentage of 72.69%.
A total of 4,15,324 candidates appeared for the board examination. Among them, 94,913 students achieved a first division, 1,48,573 students secured a second division, and 58,394 students obtained a third division.
In addition, 18,653 students received star marks, while 8,517 students earned distinction marks in the examinations.
The HSLC exams, which are equivalent to the CBSE 10th standard board exams, are conducted annually by SEBA in Assam. This year's exams were marred by several controversies due to reported paper leak incidents across various exam centers in the state.
Initially scheduled to take place from March 3 to March 20, the HSLC exams had to be rescheduled due to the paper leak incidents. As a result, the examination period was extended until April 1.
Despite the challenges faced during the examination process, the students of Assam have displayed commendable performance in the HSLC exams. The results reflect their hard work and dedication, along with the support provided by SEBA in conducting the examinations amidst difficult circumstances.
