Imran Khan Raises Alarm as Police Surround his House, Hints at Possible Arrest

Police Surround Imran Khan House

In a concerning turn of events, former Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed his apprehension on Wednesday as the police encircled his residence, suggesting that his arrest could be imminent.

During a live video address to the nation, Imran Khan took to Twitter and wrote, "Probably my last tweet before my next arrest. Police has surrounded my house." This statement heightened tensions and fueled speculation about his immediate fate.

Sources confirm that the police have positioned themselves outside Imran Khan's Zaman Park residence with the intention of apprehending him.

In a heartfelt video message, Khan expressed deep concern for Pakistan's future, stating, "I am afraid that Pakistan is on the route to destruction. And I fear that if we don't use our brains now, then we may reach a point where we wouldn't be able to collect all the pieces of our nation." These somber words shed light on his worries and the urgency he feels to steer the country in the right direction.

Furthermore, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chief asserted that chaos has plagued the nation for nearly a year, insinuating the involvement of external forces aiming to hinder his leadership, as he believes he is the wrong person for the country's progress.

Imran Khan's previous arrest took place on May 9 in connection with a corruption case following an order by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB). The arrest occurred forcibly within the premises of the Islamabad High Court, where Khan had appeared for biometrics before the hearing. This incident sparked widespread violent protests across the nation, led by his supporters.

However, on May 12, the former prime minister was granted two weeks of protective bail. The Islamabad High Court's division bench offered him respite by granting bail in the corruption case, providing temporary relief from imminent arrest.

As the situation unfolds, concerns over Imran Khan's safety and the stability of Pakistan continue to mount, leaving the nation eagerly awaiting the next developments in this tumultuous chapter of its political landscape.
