On Thursday, the leader of a group called 'Waris Punjab De,' Amritpal Singh, handed over a letter to his attorney while being held at Dibrugarh Central Jail. The letter detailed the establishment of a unique committee, comprising of lawyers, which would oversee the upcoming legal proceedings. The committee will have exclusive authority over the legal process, and no other group will be allowed to assume responsibility. Along with family members of imprisoned activists of Waris Punjab De, lawyers, and representatives of SGPC also visited the detainees in jail, forming a 12-member group.
