The Assam State Level Recruitment Commission will now follow special guidelines issued by the Assam Government for the recruitment process of third and fourth-grade employees in various departments. These guidelines aim to ensure the safety, convenience, and inclusion of candidates during the recruitment process.
One of the guidelines requires the appointment of women candidates in their home districts to address their safety concerns and encourage their participation in the workforce. Another guideline mandates the recruitment of candidates from the Barak Valley in the Barak Valley region to prioritize locals' employment opportunities and better representation in the government sector.
Moreover, the government aims to create a more inclusive work environment for differently-abled individuals by prioritizing their appointment in their home districts. The government has also urged all departments to recruit candidates in their home districts or nearby areas to minimize travel for work.
The results for the Grade-III recruitment exam conducted by the Assam State Level Recruitment Commission were recently announced. Selected candidates will receive their appointment letters on May 11 in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah and will join their respective offices from June 1.
