Mayur Hazarika Secures 5th Rank in UPSC

In a moment of pride for Assam, Mayur Hazarika, a talented young individual from Tezpur, has achieved a remarkable feat by securing the fifth rank in the highly competitive Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Examinations 2022. Hazarika's exceptional academic track record includes outstanding performances in the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary (HS) examinations.


The announcement of the examination results by the UPSC on Tuesday revealed that Ishita Kishore emerged as the topper. Joining the ranks of successful candidates from Assam, Mohammad Idul Ahmed and Manas Jyoti Das also exhibited their brilliance by cracking the UPSC exam, securing the 298th and 881st ranks, respectively.


The UPSC CSE preliminary exam took place on June 5, 2022, with the results being declared on June 22. Subsequently, the mains exam occurred from September 16 to 25, and the results were officially announced on December 6. The extensive selection process culminated with the completion of personal interviews on May 18.


These outstanding individuals have now been recommended for appointment to prestigious positions in various services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), as well as Central Services under Group 'A' and Group 'B'.


Assam's Mayur Hazarika and the other successful candidates have undoubtedly showcased their immense talent, determination, and hard work, bringing honor to their home state and setting an inspiring example for aspiring civil servants across the nation.
