In West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya, the Border Security Force (BSF) caught 13 Bangladeshi nationals and three Indian nationals who entered India illegally through the International Border of East Khasi Hills.
According to sources, the group was spotted emerging from a jungle and trying to board a parked Tata Sumo vehicle, prompting the authorities to take action.
During the investigation, the Bangladeshi nationals admitted that they were traveling to Kashmir to look for work as laborers or in other low-skilled jobs.
The Dangar police station took custody of the apprehended individuals for further investigation, and the authorities are currently conducting an inquiry into the matter.
