Karnataka CM Swears in 24 MLAs as Ministers

In a significant development, the newly formed government in Karnataka, under the leadership of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, saw the swearing-in of 24 MLAs as ministers on Saturday.


Prominent personalities among the newly inducted ministers include HK Patil, Krishna Byregowda, N Cheluvarayaswamy, K Venkatesh, HC Mahadevappa, Eshwar Khandre, Kyathasandra N Rajanna, Dinesh Gundu Rao, Sharanabasappa Darshanapur, Shivanand Patil, Timmapur Ramappa Balappa, SS Mallikarjun, Tangadagi Shivaraj Sangappa, Sharanaprakash Rudrappa Patil, Mankal Vaidya, Laxmi R Hebbalkar, Rahim Khan, D Sudhakar, Santosh S Lad, NS Boseraju, Suresha BS, Madhu Bangarappa, MC Sudhakar, and B Nagendra.


The oath-taking ceremony for the new ministers was administered by Karnataka Governor Thawar Chand Gehlot, marking their official entry into the government.


With the inclusion of these ministers, the cabinet has now reached its maximum strength of 34 members, signifying a complete formation of the governing body.


It is worth mentioning that on May 20, Siddaramaiah was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Karnataka, alongside DK Shivakumar as the Deputy CM.


During the same event, eight MLAs also took their oaths as ministers in the newly constituted Karnataka cabinet. These ministers include G Parameshwara, KH Muniyappa, KJ George, MB Patil, Satish Jarkiholi, Priyank Kharge, Ramalinga Reddy, and BZ Zameer Ahmed Khan, further strengthening the administration.
