Odisha Train Accident : CBI seals a rented house of Soro Section Railway Signal JE Amir Khan

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), which is investigating the Balasore train accident, which has claimed the lives of 291 people and injured nearly 930, has sealed the home of a signal JE who works in the Soro division.

In accordance with reports, the investigation agency sealed the rented residence of the signal JE, identified as Amir Khan on Monday.

Amir Khan and his family members have been reported to be missing since the triple train accident near the Bahanaga railway station occurred on June 2. He was earlier interrogated by the agency but now remains untraceable along with his family.

According to source, He is suspected of tampering with the electronic interlocking system.

Rinkesh Roy, the Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) of Khurda, has explained that a green signal is granted exclusively when all necessary conditions are satisfied. If even a minor problem arises, the signal will immediately turn red, rendering it impossible for it to become green unless there is manipulation or physical intervention.

Furthermore, The ongoing investigation aims to ascertain the potential participation of five railway personnel, specifically including the station master stationed at Bahanaga Bazar. In the pursuit of revealing the truth and ensuring accountability for the unfortunate train accident, a comprehensive examination will be conducted on these individuals.
