Amidst ongoing developments, the chief of 'Waris Punjab De,' Amritpal Singh, was subjected to questioning by a team of National Security Agency (NSA) officers at Dibrugarh jail in Assam, where he and his nine associates are currently imprisoned. Singh, a prominent pro-Khalistan leader, was transferred from Punjab to Dibrugarh jail on April 23 after being arrested and taken into police custody in Rode village, Punjab.
According to police sources, the NSA officers arrived in Dibrugarh on Tuesday and conducted an extensive two-hour interrogation of Singh within the confines of the jail. Additionally, Singh's nine associates, who are also detained in Dibrugarh jail, were subjected to questioning by the NSA officers.
A senior police officer disclosed on Wednesday that Singh underwent separate interrogation, while his aides were subsequently questioned.
