Anti-Drug Drive by Duliajan Police

Duliajan: In a commendable operation led by Inspector Bhaskar Saikia of Duliajan Police Station, the Duliajan police achieved a significant victory in their anti-drug efforts. The police seized banned drugs with an estimated value of approximately Rs 50,000 during the operation.


Two individuals, identified as Rituraj Patar from Salakatki No 2 in Duliajan and Dwip Jyoti Gogoi from Jaipur area in Naharkatia, were apprehended in connection with drug smuggling. Acting on intelligence gathered from confidential sources, the Duliajan police arrested Rituraj Patar from Salakatki and Dwip Jyoti Gogoi from Jaipur.


Duliajan Police took swift action in response to the situation and registered a case, numbered 126/23/23, at Duliajan Police Station. The case has been filed under relevant sections, including 21(a)25/27 of the Prevention of Drugs Act. The police have submitted the case to the judicial magistrate for further proceedings.


The successful anti-drug drive conducted by Duliajan Police highlights their commitment to combating the illegal drug trade in the region. The seizure of banned drugs and the arrest of two individuals involved in drug smuggling demonstrate the effectiveness of their efforts.
