Sushant Singh Rajput's 'MS Dhoni-The Untold Story' to be re-released on May 12, 2023

MS Dhoni-The Untold Story to be re-released

The hit film 'MS Dhoni-The Untold Story,' starring the late Sushant Singh Rajput, will be re-released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu on May 12, 2023. The movie showcases the unique journey of India's most successful cricket captain, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. It's a great opportunity for fans of Sushant Singh Rajput to see him on the big screen once again while also reliving Dhoni's inspiring journey.

The film, which was released in 2016 and also features Kiara Advani, Disha Patani, Bhumika Chawla, and Anupam Kher, grossed Rs. 133 crore at the box office, making it SSR's most successful film. The late actor's remarkable performance in the movie broke multiple records, including the opening day record of Aamir Khan's blockbuster film 'Dangal.'

Unfortunately, Sushant Singh Rajput passed away on June 14, 2020, by suicide. However, for cricket fans worldwide, MS Dhoni is an inspiration. Currently, the 41-year-old wicketkeeper and batter plays for Chennai Super Kings in the ongoing Indian Premier League, but he hinted at retirement a few months ago, stating that being "at the final chapter of his career" would be depressing for his supporters.

In August 2020, former Indian captain MS Dhoni retired from international cricket in his unique style, writing on Instagram, "From 1929 hrs consider me Retired." Dhoni is the only cricket skipper to have received all of the ICC's accolades. Under his leadership, India won the ICC World Twenty20 in 2007, the Asia Cup in 2010 and 2016, the ICC Cricket World Cup in 2011, and the ICC Champions Trophy in 2013.
