Tamulpur: In a deeply unfortunate incident, a student lost her life in Tamulpur, Assam, on Wednesday morning after being struck by a high-speed bus while on her way to a tuition class. The incident occurred in the Dwarkuchi area when the 10th-grade student was hit by a bus with the registration number AS25 AC 5970. Tragically, she succumbed to her injuries on the spot, according to sources.
Following the heart-wrenching accident, enraged locals blocked the Rangia-Bhutan National Highway, refusing to allow the police and authorities to remove the victim's body. The grief-stricken relative of the deceased spoke to the media, saying, "She was my niece, a 10th-grade student. This morning, she was on her way to tuition when the bus struck her, leading to her immediate demise."
In a separate incident on Tuesday, a devastating head-on collision took place between a truck and a Maruti van on National Highway 38 in Digboi. Tragically, the driver of the van lost his life in the collision, which resulted in the complete wreckage of the Maruti van. Furthermore, a woman and a child sustained critical injuries, further compounding the devastation caused by the accident.
